Why I Frequently Break The Law
Being a law-abiding citizen can sometimes be an expensive waste of time.
When I was a kid, I loved rules, and if I was following a rule but saw someone else benefiting by not doing so, I got MAD about it. Turns out, nobody likes a tattle-tale.
It’s one of the many autistic tendencies I’ve had to “unlearn” over the last 5-6 years - the idea that all rules are worth following (and enforcing). Many “rules” - and a few laws - can and should be safely ignored.
